Flow Rule Book & Codes of Conduct

1. Vision & Mission of Flow

- Guiding Scripture: Revelation 22:1-2; Ezekiel 47:1-7; John 7:38-39

- We exist to lead the congregation into authentic, Spirit-filled worship through excellence in music, unity of heart, and lives that are connected to God and reflect Jesus.

- Flow is not a performance group; it is a worship-leading ministry. Every rehearsal, sound-check, and service is an act of worship and pastoral care for the Body of Christ.

2. Membership Requirements

To serve in Flow you must:

• Must be a prayerful, worshipful, Spirit-filled born again child of God..

• Be a committed member of the Courtyard of Truth.

• Have a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards (1 Tim 3:1–13; Titus 1:5–9 principles applied to worship ministry).

• Commit to the rehearsal and service schedule. Must attend Bible Study, The Passion Circuit Prayers and Friday Hour of Prayer meetings regularly.

• Must possess a gifting that supports the vision of the Ministry.

3. Attendance & Commitment Policy

• Rehearsal is usually Wednesdays 4:00–7:00 pm; Sunday morning warm-up at 8:00 am.

• You are not allowed to miss rehearsals without prior approval.

• If you miss a rehearsal, you sit out the following Sunday unless cleared by the Ministry Lead.

• Two unexcused absences lead to a suspension.

• If a member arrives more than 5 minutes late to a rehearsal, he/she will be considered as absent for that day; and more than 3 consecutive absences without an acceptable excuse will result in involuntary resignation. Members are allowed 6 non-consecutive absences for the year; however, they should not have more than 3 non-consecutive absences in a 6 month period.

• Notify the Ministry Lead via SMS or Whatsapp no later than 24 hours before rehearsal if you will be absent (emergencies excepted).

4. Rehearsal Conduct

• Arrive 5–10 minutes early, warmed up, with water, pen/pencil, notepad, and a teachable heart.

• No food or gum during rehearsal; liquids only.

• Phones on silent and kept in bags or pockets. Emergencies: step outside quietly.

• Respect the director and section leaders at all times. Side conversations stop when the director speaks.

• Laugh, enjoy, and encourage one another—rehearsal should be joyful, but never at the expense of focus.

5. Sunday Morning & Service Conduct

• Dress code: Coordinated outfit as announced. Must be neat and modest at all times.

• Arrive at announced call time (usually 7:30 am). Two late arrivals = one unexcused absence.

• No talking on the platform once service begins unless absolutely necessary and done quietly.

• Eyes on the director at all times during songs. No looking at phones, congregation, or elsewhere.

• Worship with your whole body and heart while still watching the leader. We lead by example.

• No departure until dismissed by Ministry Lead/Director.

6. Personal Conduct & Social Media

1. Refrain from gossip or negative speech about the church, leadership, or other choir members (Prov 16:28; Eph 4:29).

2. On social media: never post photos or videos or anything that could bring reproach.

3. Romantic relationships within Flow must be made known to the Ministry Lead and other members.

7. Conflict Resolution

- If you have an issue with another member or leader, go directly and privately to that person first (Matt 18:15–17).

- If unresolved, bring it to the Worship Pastor or Ministry Lead.

- Public criticism, group texts, or venting on social media are to be avoided.

8. Stepping Down or Removal

Reasons for involuntary removal (after prayerful conversation):

- Persistent unexcused absences or lateness

- Unrepentant moral failure

- Ongoing divisive or critical spirit

- Inability or unwillingness to blend and follow directions

9. The Heart of Flow (read aloud together at the start of every new season)

“We are not here for applause, followers, or self-acclaim.

We are here to disappear so that Jesus is seen clearly.

We sing in harmony because we live in unity.

We rehearse diligently because God deserves our best.

We love one another fiercely because we are family.

This is Flow.”
